Overview

6.002 is designed to serve as a first course in an undergraduate electrical engineering (EE), or electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) curriculum. At MIT, 6.002 is in the core of department subjects required for all undergraduates in EECS. The course introduces the fundamentals of the lumped circuit abstraction. Topics covered include: resistive elements and networks; independent and dependent sources; switches and MOS transistors; digital abstraction; amplifiers; energy storage elements; dynamics of first- and second-order networks; design in the time and frequency domains; and analog and digital circuits and applications. Design and lab exercises are also significant components of the course. 6.002 is worth 4 Engineering Design Points. The 6.002 content was created collaboratively by Profs. Anant Agarwal and Jeffrey H. Lang. The course uses the required textbook _Foundations of Analog and Digital Electronic Circuits_. Agarwal, Anant, and Jeffrey H. Lang. San Mateo, CA: Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, Elsevier, July 2005. ISBN: 9781558607354.

    It was an excellent course.
Through this course I can analyze the circuits and logic behind the working of circuit.
This course helps me to build my knowledge about electronic that's why I can use it projects as well as in daily lab sessions.
from the course I learnt many things like nodal analysis ,circuit designing not only this but also basic electronic about gates ,about number system.
I am thankful to this course organizer and team as well.
They helps me allot through the online medium, content from vedio source
  • Circuits and Electronics, offered by MIT OpenCourseWare, is a fantastic course. The instructor's teaching style is clear and concise, making complex concepts easy to understand. The course covers a wide range of topics in Circuits and Electronics, providing a solid foundation for further study. The accompanying materials, including lecture notes and problem sets, are comprehensive and helpful. While the course is from 2007, the fundamentals of Circuits and Electronics remain relevant. Overall, it's a highly recommended course for anyone interested in the subject.
  • The lectures are conducted in a manner that you feel like you sat in with the rest of the students. They are holistic and precise. The lectures take time to adequately cite real-life examples that allow the students to connect the contents of the course to real-life issues.

The playlist is organized in such a way that you are able to properly follow through subsequent lectures. The first lecture outlining the direction that the program will take and explaining how each course help the student propel through the series.

There not waste time with calculations. They give you a guide, which keeps the lessons interesting and less boring. It also leaves the student with the curiosity to see the numbers in play.
  • I have been learning from this summer and it has been a great experience. He is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how he presents the material. His lessons were engaging, useful, and he was very patient with everyone in class always encouraging his students to try. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning

  • It's good to know that this course is amazing and knowledgeable. I know many of the term of circuits.
