This course provides instruction regarding the theory and fundamentals of building construction: laws, regulations and standards; the Uniform Building Code requirements for fire safety in buildings; classification of buildings by occupancy; elements of building construction and design; and fire protection requirements for buildings, special occupancy areas and open areas.
