This course covers descriptive statistics, elementary probability including permutations, combinations, binomial and normal distributions; inferential statistics including random sampling, hypothesis testing, regression, and correlation and chi-square distribution. Also included is a review of the core prerequisite skills, competencies, and concepts needed in statistics. Topics include concepts from prealgebra, elementary and intermediate algebra and the development of critical thinking skills needed for statistical analysis.
