An introductory course to a fascinating travel into the eTourism world, which crosses both space and time, and is always closely connected with communication. We are embarking to create a great study experience, which explores how Information and Communication Technologies do matter for tourism – both for our personal experience, and for the tourism industry at large. In other words, we will together explore eTourism by using tools and models from the Communication Sciences.
Key concepts and theories covered include: Online Communication Model; Roman Jakobson's Communication Model; Quality of online contents; User Generated Content; Web 2.0; Reputation in online Media; Intercultural Communication and Localization; eLearning; Argumentation; World Heritage Sites.

It is very interesting and organized. There is also an active Facebook group for further social networking. I in particular likes the geographical map which displays the learners' distribution around the world. Quite excited to see over 1000 learners pinned themselves on the map. Now the MOOC has 4900+ learners in the learning community. Quite active community, I will say.

Great course on principles of e-tourism perspectives with great video lectures, examples and quizzes. Difficult content of Lectures made enjoyable with excellent lecturers.
