Harness the potential of digital technology
Education has changed radically in the last 20 years. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the expansion of e-learning, it is no longer possible to teach without using digital resources.
On this three-week course from the Universiti of Malaya, you’ll gain expert guidance on how best to incorporate digital technology into your teaching. You’ll learn what platforms are best for what kind of classes, and how digital tools could transform your approach to education.
Learn how Education 4.0 has transformed teaching
The course will kick off with an overview of recent developments in digital learning. You’ll be introduced to the concept of Education 4.0 and how it has shifted traditional teaching models.
You’ll discuss where education fits in relation to broader digital trends, and how it could evolve further in the future.
Discover digital tools and platforms
Educators now have a dizzying number of digital tools and platforms at their fingertips. But not all resources are suited to all class types or teaching styles.
You’ll take a tour of some of the major tools and platforms, analysing the advantages of each for teaching and learning.
Design and develop digital learning resources
Once you’ve understood the potential of digital resources, you can begin developing your own. You’ll spend Week 3 of the course learning how to design, implement, and analyse digital learning resources.
By the end of the course, you’ll have gained the training you need to confidently navigate any digital learning resource.
This course is aimed at educators hoping to incorporate digital technology in their teaching, or students and researchers interested in the latest developments in digital education.
