  • An excellent course for anyone touched by MS: people living with MS, their family and friends. Also health professionals, especially those not currently working in the MS field, but who may encounter people living with MS from time to time. It gives insight into the disease and how it affects people differently, as well as common symptoms and ways to deal with the disease. Topics are covered objectively but they also help everyone understand the emotional impact, especially at diagnosis.

Plus a free certificate and the option for health professionals (and any other interested people) to purchase an enhanced certificate that might be helpful for continuing education hours/points.
  • I am a Recreation Therapist working in healthcare. While I have, and have had, clients with MS, I did not know much about it beyond the visible symptoms. I learned so much throughout this course and I now feel better equipped to support clients with MS. Everyone impacted by or supporting anyone living with MS should take this course. Thank you so much for offering it!

It was helpful in learning about MS, especially from various angles. Those living with MS & experts. I feel many of us would like more practical Infor & advise, as we live with MS 24/7 & I know we all have various symptoms, but as we live with these symptoms, it would be nice to know more about these symptoms & how do people cope & manage these various symptoms & what medication they on & how it helps or doesn't help on a daily basis. Also what the experts say or advise on the symptoms & medication & just about living with MS on a daily basis. Remember this is very foreign to our bodies & way of life.
But thanks you for sharing, much appreciated.
    Jesus loves us....

The course is very neatly constructed making it easy to learn. Each module consists of video interviews with medical and scientific experts who explain the nature of MS and its progression in a way that is clear and easy to understand. the video interviews are backed up by text, summaries and additional resources.
The course also covers what is it like to live with MS by interviews with people who have ms.
This part is also structured with interviews, text and resources enabling learners to learn at their own pace and their own learning style.

My favourite one sentence takeaway: (paraphrasing Andrew Potter) "I treat MS with both the respect and contempt it deserves".

The information was presented in an accessible and understandable manner, which made it possible to dive deeper into the understanding of multiple sclerosis.

Lecturers not only shared theoretical knowledge, but also provided practical advice on living with this diagnosis.

It was also helpful to learn about the latest research and treatment approaches. This course really helped me understand not only the medical aspects, but also how people live with this disease

I recommend this course to anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of this disease, regardless of whether it is taking you personally or your loved ones.

I recently attended an online course on multiple sclerosis, which provided an in-depth understanding of the disease, its progression, and treatment options. The course covered a wide range of topics, from the underlying causes and risk factors to the latest research on therapies and symptom management. I found the material to be highly informative, especially the sections on the impact of multiple sclerosis on daily life and the importance of early intervention. The course was well-organized, and the instructors presented the information in an engaging and accessible way, making complex topics easy to understand.

Thank you very much to all involved parties in creating this course possible. It was very informative and detailed enough to be easy to understand even someone without medical background. Furthermore, the fact that is free of charge, made it accessible for me. I like the concept of online and distance learning, moreover, learning at my own pace, which was possible with this course.
I am not a patient but mother of a patient. This course gave me a comfort to avoid thinking on the worst possible scenarios, instead, a person with MS can have normal healthy life.
Lots of appreciation and kindest regards!

Absolutely brilliant online course. MS is such an unknown quantity with the symptoms being so different in each person. It was wonderful finally to get a solid knowledge of the disease and the range of symptom management techniques available. It has helped me support my son with a greater understanding of what he is going through. The course is really well designed and scattered throughout the course are interviews with a range of very different people who have MS which helps put it in context as to the lived experience. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning more about MS.

Thanks for a very informative program of events and module headings.
Myself and my wife found all of the information content understandable and of value. I was recently diagnosed with ppms at the age of 64. My consultant offered no explanations or information on the condition. Made 2 possible referrals to MS Nurse, yet openly stated 'I forgot' both times.
We had to source information ourselves and phoning the MS Nurse services ourselves. Once making contact with the MS Nurse she put services in place quickly. (Diagnosed 10 months ago). Nurse took couple of weeks to implement. Now got new consultant.

Thanks for your program and the valued information it provided my wife and myself, alongside the quizzes 😀.

Thank you to all who have invested in the course that has enlightened and explained so much of a disease, that effects people we love or know. I was really pleased to listen to the gentleman that had moved to Tasmania because he was not coping with the higher temperature in Sydney. When invited, he took part in the test trial of ALEMTUZUMAB and I smiled and thought WOW when stating his health (or Symptoms) had not deteriorated in the eight years since starting the treatment.
Thank you for the opportunity to learn about MS
