Overview

Media is a powerful tool for promoting social justice. If you are an activist involved in promoting or advocating for a social cause, this course will provide you with valuable information and guidance.

The course will help you to identify and pitch a newsworthy story, select appropriate media for publicising your story; and assess the impact of your story. The course also addresses working in an ethical way as both an activist and citizen journalist.

    The course is nicely organized and conveys great concepts. I did learn a lot although it could have been longer (more added content). I did not upgrade to get the certificate based on not wanting to pay about 50 bucks for the amount I had learned. Otherwise very insightful and would recommend.
  • This course gives a good base for understanding how media works specifically in the area of activism.
    It is easy for comprehension, provides additional reading materials.
