Description
This class is an indispensable resource for all home cooks to make mealtime simpler (and your life easier). What’s the strategy? Plan ahead for leftovers and transform them into entirely new meals! Think of this class as a gift to your future self. Working with leftovers is an integral part of my planning ahead strategy. Not only does it take the stress out of meal planning, but it also streamlines the cooking process for half of the recipes in this class, since leftovers from three of the lessons will be transformed into completely different, equally outstanding dinners.
In lesson one, we’re making French Onion Steaks, a unique dish that showcases wine-infused, caramelized onions, chewy-crisp toasted bread, gooey Swiss cheese, and perfectly cooked steaks. This dish is totally unique and likely to become a staple in your home. In lesson two, we’re taking leftover steak from the first lesson and making Easy Mongolian Beef Bowls, a dish that features nuggets of juicy steak that are shimmering from a sweet, tangy, garlicky glaze that’s made with soy sauce and brown sugar. In lesson three, we’re making Sheet Pan Parsley Lemon Chicken, a dish you’ll be making again and again. The chicken is perfectly moist and scented with fresh lemon, parsley, and Dijon mustard. The best part is, with the leftovers you’ll have from this recipe, you’ll have pre-cooked chicken to use for a future meal. In lesson four, we’ll use the leftover chicken from lesson three to craft Sweet and Sour Chicken with Rice Noodles, a dish that features gluten-free rice noodles, tender chicken, sugar snap peas, fresh cilantro, and a sweet/savory sauce made with apricot preserves. In lesson five, we’re diving into Cajun Butter Salmon, where creamy butter is kicked up with bold Cajun flavors (cayenne, black pepper, oregano, thyme, garlic), and then sweetened with honey. The mixture is brushed onto salmon filets and the fish is baked to fork-tender perfection. Leftover salmon from lesson five swims into lesson six for Salmon Taco Bowls, an assembly-style meal that features seasoned rice, perfectly cooked chunks of salmon, fresh tomatoes, vibrant greens, lime juice, and cilantro.
