This is also a great way to prepare for the Microsoft MS-900 exam. By passing the MS-900 exam, you’ll earn the Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification. This course is for beginners, but you should have a basic familiarity with using and navigating a Windows or macOS environment and a fundamental understanding of computer software applications. As you'll be directed to install the Microsoft 365 Personal package, your computer must meet certain hardware specifications to run the associated applications properly: For PC: • Windows 10 or 11 • 1.6 GHz or faster, 2-core processor or higher. • 4GB RAM • 4GB of available hard disk space • DirectX 10 graphics card • 1280 x 768 screen resolution or higher For Mac: • The three most recent versions of macOS • Intel processor or Apple Silicon chip • 4GB RAM • 10 GB of available disk space, HFS+ hard disk format (also known as macOS Extended) or APFS. • 1280 x 768 screen resolution or higher

Syllabus

Introduction to Microsoft 365 Components and Services

In this module, you'll explore the primary components and services of Microsoft 365, a cloud-based suite offering a vast array of tools and capabilities for collaboration, productivity, and security. You'll learn the functionalities of Microsoft 365 apps and services, including Office 365 applications, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint. The focus will be on utilizing these applications and services for creating, communicating, collaborating, and managing tasks efficiently. By the conclusion of this module, you'll be equipped to identify and articulate the core components and services of Microsoft 365 and their role in enhancing work efficiency.

Integration and business productivity

In this module, you'll learn about application integration, and then discover how to seamlessly integrate Microsoft Office applications with each other and with third-party applications employing various features and tools for integration. The focus will be on how integration improves user experience and productivity within the Microsoft Office suite and enables streamlined workflows across different applications and platforms. After completing this module, you'll be able to demonstrate the integration of Microsoft Office with other applications and Microsoft Teams.

Security and automation

This module addresses the essential themes of security and automation within the digital workspace, emphasizing the need for protecting data and optimizing work processes. You'll explore foundational concepts of digital security, understanding how to safeguard information and systems against potential threats.
