- In this module, we will introduce the foundational concepts of networking. You will gain knowledge of networking hardware, models, and key technologies, such as Layer 1 and Layer 2 standards. Additionally, you will explore network addressing systems and learn to use essential utilities to troubleshoot and maintain networks efficiently.
- Cisco Equipment and Hardware
- In this module, we will focus on Cisco equipment and hardware, including identifying devices, components, and ports essential to a technician's role. You will also gain an understanding of Cisco memory functions and learn best practices for removing and replacing devices in the field. This knowledge will help you efficiently work with Cisco equipment in real-world scenarios.
- Cisco IOS
- In this module, we will explore the Cisco IOS environment, including the types of operating systems and methods for accessing devices. You will learn to use terminal emulation tools, execute basic IOS commands, and manage device configurations through backups and restores. Additionally, we will cover IOS-XE modes to prepare you for advanced Cisco device management.
- Servicing Cisco Devices
- In this module, we will cover essential servicing tasks for Cisco devices. You will learn how to use Windows commands for network troubleshooting, upgrade Cisco IOS software, and recover lost passwords on routers. Additionally, we will introduce tools used for servicing devices and demonstrate the process of performing a factory reset on Cisco IOS switches.
