  • Defender Compliance Essentials for Securing Azure Cloud Services
    • Users will explore various tools within Microsoft Defender that ensure regulatory compliance in the Azure Cloud.
  • Lesson 1: Prepare the Microsoft Lab Environment
    • In this foundational lesson, you will be able to prepare your own lab environment with a free trial of Microsoft Azure. We will also explore the trial’s features and options throughout this lesson and short course to prepare you for used cases in real-world environments.
  • Lesson 2: Create a Log Analytics Workspace for Microsoft Defender in Azure Cloud
    • In this lesson, you will be able to gain a better understanding of the kind of data we seek to collect with Microsoft Defender, where to put that data, how to structure it and how to access it through the use of KQL queries when result sets are needed for monitoring, and compliance.
  • Lesson 3: Microsoft Defender Set Up for Azure Cloud
    • This Lesson is the most critical in the course because it focuses on Microsoft Defender which is an arsenal of tools that were designed to help secure, support, monitor and track security issues from within any environment, dependent on the compliance factors at a specific company or home business. Microsoft Defender has a 30-day free trial, but is an add-on which is optional for companies to purchase. In this lesson, we will explore the ease with which Defender is installed, and the bevy of controls and tools it uses to support any compliance rules.
  • Lesson 4: Configure and Integrate a Log Analytics Agent
    • In this lesson, you will see how lessons 1-3 in the course are connected as we dig deeper into configuring and integrating log analytics into your environment.
  • Lesson 5: Preparing Azure Key Vaults
    • In this lesson, you will be able to navigate Microsoft's Azure Key Vault Service while learning how Key Vault protects cryptographic keys and secrets essential for cloud applications and services.
