Overview

In today's world, there is no topic as big or as controversial as generative AI and its use in education. Building on the University of Glasgow's Generative AI in Education short course, this course will introduce and demonstrate the strategies and practices for a responsible implementation of AI tools in the classroom. We will highlight digital skills and AI literacy points that are essential for successful and ethical use of AI to support curricula development, teacher preparedness, innovative assessment and learning enhancement in compulsory and further education.

Syllabus

  • Week 1: The Principles of Integrating AI in the Classroom
    • In this week, we'll be looking at key digital strategies and frameworks that we consider essential to understanding the use of Generative AI in the Classroom.
  • Week 2: Integrating AI into the Teaching and Learning Process
    • In this week, we'll look at practical examples and some cases of use of Generative AI in the Classroom.
  • Week 3: The Impact of Integrating AI in the Classroom
    • In this week, we'll address some ethical considerations relating to integrating Generative AI into the Classroom might be.
