AWS: Security, Governance, and Compliance is the sixth course of Exam Prep (DEA-C01): AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate Specialization. This course teaches learners the concepts of Security in databases regarding AWS. Learners will be able to implement controls to protect secrets, and credentials, and remove customer-provided key material. The course also focuses on monitoring, logging, and tracking the resiliency of your applications by exploring AWS services. The course is divided into two modules and Lessons and Video Lectures further segment each module. This course facilitates learners with approximately 2:30-3:00 Hours of Video lectures that provide both Theory and Hands-On knowledge. Also, Graded and Ungraded Quizzes are provided with every module to test the ability of learners. Module 1: Management and Governance in AWS Module 2: Security, Identity, and Compliance in AWS By the end of this course, a learner will be able to: - Implement data protection and encryption techniques. - Explore management and governance services in AWS. - Understand data security risks by discovering sensitive data using machine learning. This course is intended for candidates who wish to understand AWS data protection mechanisms and data encryption methods and have basic hands-on experience in designing and implementing security solutions.

  • Management and Governance in AWS
    • Welcome to Week 1 of the AWS: Security, Governance, and Compliance course. This week, you will be introduced to AWS CloudFormation which allows us to provision and manage AWS and third-party resources using infrastructure as code feature. You will explore Amazon CloudWatch, a service that monitors applications, alerts to performance changes, and provides insights into operational health. By the end of the week, you will learn and implement AWS Config which assesses, audits, and evaluates the configurations of your resources on AWS.
  • Security, Identity, and Compliance in AWS
    • Welcome to Week 2 of the AWS: Security, Governance, and Compliance course. This week, you will be introduced to AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) which allows you to create, manage, and control cryptographic keys across your applications and AWS services. You will learn Amazon Macie which is a data security service that uses machine learning and pattern matching to discover and protect sensitive data. By the end of the week, you will explore a comprehensive security solution that includes AWS WAF and AWS Shield which acts as a firewall and protects against DDoS attacks.
