Winter Foraging: Barks, Roots, and Buds (Live Online)

via CourseHorse

Overview

The Chicago Botanic Garden’s online foraging class is a virtual experience you can take anywhere!

In the dreariest part of the year, there is still foraging to be done! Learn about the different edible parts of plants to look out for on your next winter walk. Keep your wildcrafting and connection to nature going all season long. We will discuss a variety of trees, roots, and fruits (yes fruits!), you can forage during the colder months of the year. This class will also share several recipes on winter foraged foods.

This class will be taught online via Zoom. Registered students will receive login instructions one day in advance.
