Build unique structures with Legos® to complete a series of both team and individual challenges. May the best build win!
Get ready to click those bricks together and make a series of Lego® masterpieces in our wildly popular brick-building challenge! We'll send participants their own Lego® kits so that everyone is on even footing for a series of challenges that put your architectural skills and creativity to the test.
Each round will feature prompts that require teams to collaborate and tell a story with their creations, and the winning builds will be chosen by popular vote. There's no better activity to remind your team that everyone is capable of a completely different style of greatness, even when using identical materials! Embrace diversity of thought and outside-the-box thinking with this event that challenges everyone to be their most creative selves.
Example prompts: build the tallest stable structure, create a form of transportation, and build something that represents your favorite free-time hobby.
Example challenges:
- Build a Zoo Scene: Each participant must build their own animal (no animal can be the same)
- Clones: Have each participant on your team build exactly the same structure. It needs to use at least 50 blocks and 5 different colors. The winning team will be judged based on the accuracy (how similar the structures are to each other) and quality (how ambitious/creative the structures are).
- Build the Largest Tower: Participants are tasked with building the highest tower they can in less than 10 minutes
- Self-portraits: Create your likeness using Legos®
What your group will do:
- Participants will receive a package of Legos® before the event. Each package will include 200+ bricks for a healthy array of building options
- Our facilitator will welcome the group, go over the rules of the game, and start the event with high energy
- A variety of challenges will be presented to the participants (some will require breakout rooms for teams to collaborate)
- Half of the time will be spent in the mini-teams and the other half will be the whole group together
