This online course delves into the intersection of cinema and the photobook, examining how sequencing, pacing, rhythm, and layout can evoke a cinematic experience within the pages of a book.Through a series of lectures, hands-on exercises, and engaging group discussions, participants will experiment with translating photographic material into book form utilizing techniques such as sequencing, movement, long takes, jump cuts, fades, and zooms.Guns will share her research in editing theory and photobook history, revealing how these concepts have influenced her own work.
