This course is a follow up to the basic strategies taught in Learning Tunes by Ear I. After a review of topics from the first level, lessons will focus on time signatures, typical rhythms, tune structures, changes of key/mode, and the rudiments of improvisation. Class time will be spent on preparatory listening and playing exercises, as well as on analyzing the construction of actual tunes to facilitate faster aural comprehension. All instruments are welcome.
