Prerequisite: ARABIC-1 or one year of high school Arabic. Continued presentation of the four basic language skills in functional modern Arabic - aural, oral, reading, and writing. Skills focus on the continuing practice of Arabic script, correct pronunciation, vocabulary expansion, and applying the rules of grammar and tense to simple declarative sentences and short conversations. Arabic cultural norms, values, and customs are explored and serve as a basis for additional skill-building practice. This course may also require completion of supplemental assignments. Corresponds to the second year of high school Arabic. Transfer: CSU; UC
