This introductory course teaches beginning language acquisition in a cultural context through listening, speaking, reading and writing. The students will interact with authentic language in cultural context. This course corresponds to the first year of high school Spanish. Spanish 1 is not recommended for heritage (native) speakers of Spanish. This course may also require completion of supplemental assignments. (C-ID SPAN 100) Transfer: CSU; UC
