Overview

This competency-based course provides instruction in basic computer skills for personal, educational, and career purposes. The student will learn how to identify parts and the functions of computers. Students will be introduced to varied topics such as the use of internet browsers, how to establish and maintain an email account, how to navigate basic word processing programs and function keys, how to use established databases and search engines to find information on the internet, and how to copy, save, print, and send documents from various courses.
