This is the digital course supplement for the Becoming a Cloud Practitioner Part 1 course. This course teaches you how to gain the foundational skills needed to implement secure, reliable networking and storage solutions on AWS. You'll learn how to set up Amazon VPCs with subnets, internet gateways, route tables, and security groups. You'll launch Amazon EC2 virtual servers, attach Amazon EBS storage volumes, and connect to instances. You'll compare computing options such as Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda functions, and containers. You'll master object, block, and file storage with in-depth coverage of Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, and Amazon EFS storage services.
In this four-part series, you'll learn key concepts and services to use and understand the AWS Cloud. In part one, you'll learn the foundational concepts, tools, and best practices for leveraging the AWS Cloud. You'll build your own Amazon VPC, attach storage, and deploy a static website in hands-on labs and simulations. You'll explore serverless and edge computing models, and leverage AWS networking and storage expertise to focus on delivering business value.
