Amazon Web Services (AWS) storage provides you with the services you need to build the storage solution that’s right for your organization. Object storage services are one of the three primary types of storage in the AWS storage portfolio. You will discover the depth and breadth of object storage service options available for you to choose from to meet your organization’s requirements.
The AWS object storage services consist of Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).  Amazon S3 uses Amazon S3 storage classes for you to define your storage tiers based on your access patterns and needs. You can select from many Amazon S3 features and capabilities and apply them to your organization’s needs.
Before choosing an AWS storage solution, AWS recommends that you first assess what storage characteristics are appropriate for your applications and business. After familiarizing yourself with AWS storage, you can then compare your requirements to the available AWS storage services and select the solution that meets your needs.
