  1. 1 Loops creation using Polyscript.
  2. 2 Tweaking is makable using Bezier handles
  3. 3 Fast build of regular topology
  4. 4 I always use surface snaping enabled, extruding main loops and scaling them.
  5. 5 The Help menu is always available and very handy
  6. 6 This is where I met difficulties due to surface bumpiness. Layer the topology with multiple stroke would have been a better choice here.
  7. 7 The Patch function seems to be only working with being created topology, it can't be done with existing topology.
  8. 8 I use the mirror modifier with cliping enabled to fix centered vertices and avoid holes
  9. 9 The number of faces generated is directly displayed above the curve helping you to match it with the existing topology
  10. 10 Pressing alt+B allow you to box isolate any area of your document
  11. 11 Be aware that hiden geometry is still existing and will interfer with snaping. to avoid this, we'll use the mask addon later on.
  12. 12 To efficiently isolate the head an avoid snaping on the other surface.
  13. 13 Create a vertex group of the head and add a Mask modifier to the sculpted model.
  14. 14 The big advantage of masking is that it really isolates the masked mesh. It can be very usefull for retopology and texture painting.
  15. 15 Fast loops creatinon using contour tool
  16. 16 then I create a forearm vertex group and add a shrinkwrap modifier and finaly apply it.
  17. 17 Contour tool is a must to create fast fingers topology. 3 cuts per joint and one cut in the middle of each phalanx
  18. 18 Use a par number of transversal cut (8 or 10 in this case)
  19. 19 Verifying edge flow to connect the thumb to other fingers.
  20. 20 A lateral line may run accross all finger making deformation and UV unwraping handy and relevent.
  21. 21 checking topology flow for relevent deformations.
  22. 22 Contour tool !!! :
  23. 23 Tweaking muscle flow.
