Online education in India is growing rapidly. But the coverage is limited, and the narrative is driven by the heavily-funded companies that dominate the space. We want to change that.
With close to 1000 articles, The Report by Class Central is unique in its depth of coverage of online education (at least, the parts we understand). We publish a mix of news, analysis, and educational resources. We also like to break down the business of online education.
It can be hard to describe our coverage in words. So below are a few selected examples of Class Central exclusives. These are the sorts of articles we’d like to write more.

We don’t have dedicated staff writers. Instead, almost all members of our global team regularly write for The Report. We’re all online learners, so we write about what we know.
If you join Class Central as a writer, here are some some things you might do:
- Collect and analyze data (we can help you scrape)
- Identify and write about various trends in India’s online education system
- Publish in-depth reports
- Cover the evolution of the online education industry
- Break down aspects of the industry: marketing, sales, advertising, etc.
While the focus is on India, you are not limited to the Indian ecosystem. We would welcome all kinds of original reporting about online education.
The Report role at Class Central is to help us build a reputation in online education. So we care less about metrics like pageviews or number of articles. We’re not looking for someone to churn out articles for the sake of it or rewrite press releases sent by companies.
We’re looking for original, data-driven coverage of online education in India and beyond. If you think you could be a good fit, don’t hesitate to apply.
