Open edX Conference 2021 goes virtual

The Open edX community meets virtually on May 27, 2021 for its annual Open edX Conference.

The Open edX Conference will take place on May, 27, 2021 with a one year delay, after last year’s event in Lisbon (Portugal) had been canceled due to the global pandemic in 2020. The Open edX conference is the annual gathering of the Open edX community with leading experts in ed-tech.

The theme “Shaping the Future of Education Together” encourages developers, instructional designers, university administrators, and professors to think and rethink concepts of education and work to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

Keynote speakers Sanjay Sarma, VP of Open Learning at MIT, and Anant Agarwal, edX CEO and Founder, will introduce the Open edX Conference theme of “Shaping the Future of Education Together.” The presentations following will focus on three areas: Pedagogy & Instructional Design, Platform & Product, and Extensions & Integrations.

The conference will run on two platforms. The presentations guiding through the day will be accessible on LoudSwarm, social interactions will be made possible on Gather, where everyone is welcome. You can register for the half-day virtual event via eventbrite
