Deeper Learning 101 runs from Jan 20 to Mar 24, 2014, coordinated by High Tech High, a public charter school based in San Diego County, CA, with support from the Hewlett Foundation and the Raikes Foundation. Deeper Learning is an important new trend in education which emphasizes providing richer learning experiences for students. As Laura McBain and Ryan Gallagher of High Tech High put it:
“for this generation of students, access to content has never been quicker. So it’s not about accessing content, those aren’t the skills that are going to be important for the jobs that we are trying to prepare our kids for. It’s about what you do with that content. Are you able to transform it? Repurpose it? Use it in novel situations?”
