Coursera Q1 2022: $120.4M Revenue, $38.3M in Losses, 16K Degree Students

Coursera has published its first quarterly report of 2022. Here are the essential numbers.

Last week, Coursera published their Q1 2022 report. Since then, the company’s stock price has dropped by ~10%, and its market cap is hovering around $2.7 billion.

In Q1 2022, Coursera’s revenue grew to $120.4M, compared to $88.4 million a year ago and $115 million in Q4 2021.

The company lost $38.3 million, down from $47.7 million in Q4 2021.

Regarding users, Coursera is maintaining its pace, adding 5 million learners per quarter. In April 2022, Coursera crossed 100 million registered learners.

Compared to Q4 2021, the total number of degree students stayed the same, around 16K. Degree revenue also remained unchanged at $13.3 million.

The company’s revenue grew 36% year-over-year. In Q2 2022, Coursera projects a revenue in the $128–132 million range.
