Clinical skills represent the competencies essential for the execution of specific medical procedures, grounded in clinical knowledge and expertise. The mastery of surgical clinical skills is inherently intertwined with a profound understanding of medical science. The acquisition and refinement of these skills necessitate the application of medical knowledge and accumulated experience to direct and inform precise surgical actions.
During the development of surgical clinical skills, it is recognized that various techniques interplay and influence one another. As such, learners are expected to engage in the synthesis of knowledge, discern connections between different skills, and cultivate analytical thinking. It is imperative that they possess not only the technical proficiency to perform surgical clinical skills but also a comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles that dictate these practices. This holistic approach is designed to enhance their capacity for critical analysis, problem-solving, and to foster a proactive and efficacious learning methodology in the domain of surgical clinical skills.
